Prerequisites
Choose a task or idea to work through

Create a small experiment with clear questions, limits and a review date.

This practical exercise helps you make a clearer plan. It does not promise work, sales or earnings.

1. Write the problem

Describe who you want to help and what becomes easier for them. Focus on the problem before choosing features, branding or software. Write down the assumptions you are making about the audience.

2. Learn about the current approach

Ask potential users how they handle the problem now. Look for concrete examples rather than asking whether they like your idea. Keep a record of repeated difficulties and the alternatives they already use.

3. Choose one experiment

Prepare a simple demonstration, a sample or a clearly described service. Decide what question the experiment should answer. Avoid spending heavily to answer a question that a small test can address.

4. Set limits before starting

Choose a time limit, a spending limit and a date to review the result. Decide what evidence would support continuing. Do not treat compliments or page views as equivalent to paying demand.

5. Review and choose

Compare what happened with the question you set. Continue, simplify, test a different approach or stop. Preserve the notes so the next experiment starts with what you learned.

Your completion checklist

  • One customer problem
  • A list of assumptions
  • A small test
  • Time and spending limits
  • A review date

Your next move

Save your notes, choose one small action and set a date to review what happened.
